Hi, I am

Yesenia!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Counselor in California. In this position, I work with adults in California, Delaware and Colorado working through life transitions, family conflict, and trauma. If you’re looking for a counselor who speaks Spanish, I am available to provide that service!

How I Can Help...

I provide a warm environment in which you can safely identify and explore issues that may be getting in the way of a more rewarding home life, career, and/or relationship. My goal is to help you develop insights and learn tools that will help you move beyond limiting beliefs and behaviors, promote self-growth and build upon your strengths. I can also help you identify outmoded coping mechanisms that may be standing in the way.

I help adults with trauma histories, specifically those who have experienced invalidating environments, childhood traumas, or relational traumas. As a therapist trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I help others alleviate the distress associated with trauma and negative life experiences.

I thoroughly enjoy working with entrepreneurs and leaders who are overwhelmed and burnt out. I am the right therapist for you If you have lost, or never had a great work/life balance, if your personal relationships are suffering or are strained because of stress, time management issues, or communication struggles. I can help you learn how to communicate your needs, manage difficult situations, and understand how to work through your own thought + behavior patterns.

When I am Not at Work....

When I’m not working you can find me traveling, taking in new cultures, languages, and scenery. When I’m not traveling, I’m spending time with family and friends, reading feminist and self-growth books, watching binge-worthy T.V. shows, and trying to breathe in life.
Fun and self-care are important! You can find me taking walks on the beach or exploring a new local area, at least when the weather is warm! I do enjoy a nice cup of café de olla, a warm blanket and snuggling with my dogs Nala and Prince at all times of the year.
